California, je t’aime

As professed in this post, I am a huge Francophile.  I dream of visits to Normandy and of living in Paris or Cannes for months at a time.  Even so, no matter how proficient at French I may become or how long a visit I may have in that amazing country, I will always be a California girl at heart.  I love my state and I especially love living in Southern California.  I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

One particularly gorgeous Saturday, my family spent the day leisurely soaking up all of our city’s beauty at beaches, Farmer’s Markets and small beachside restaurants.  I know L.A. is known for its hellish traffic and constant celebrity chatter but the city has so much more to offer.  That Saturday – from Venice to Santa Monica to Malibu – we didn’t want to be anywhere else in the world.
